Hi guys,

I always thought that it would be v. cool to have a help desk for wordpress so anyway I've had a plugin made that integrates Hesk.

I was hoping that some of you could amble over to the sandbox and submit a ticket so I can test it out. It would also be good if you could give me some feedback on the interface and if you think it is user friendly.

Any help would be appreciated. It should take less than 5 minutes and it would be greatly appreciated. Naturally, I will delete all your email addresses etc. This is only for testing to see if any changes should be made or if there are any bugs.

Looks good, although a 10-character ticket number seems a bit much. And shouldn't closing a ticket be an administrative function? Something like a couple of buttons and a Did this resolve your problem? If Yes is clicked the ticket would be closed. Or am I complicating things?

Just submitted a ticket - nice and easy to follow and input.

The only little thing I would comment on is the Security Question. I know it is to stop Spammers - but will everyone know that.

I know they are not million dollar questions (at least mine was easy! I think snow is COLD? Must have worked though!) Would it be easier to use a captcha style letter/number combination (still tell them why though)?

Jo,

You should see some of the rotational questions used to gain admittance here!

They really have to be simple Q and A otherwise you get emails to admin asking what answer should I put in! Sad

E.G. Favourite animal Dog or Cat

Answer = either will get you admittance

Just enter Dog
Just enter Cat

And they still email admin saying, I'm not sure, which answer should I put? Dog or Cat.............

It wouldn't matter how much you explained it to them, they still wouldn't get it........... Or perhaps I'm being a little hard here. Cool

Thanks for your feedback.

The tracking code etc is generated by Hesk not by the plugin so it really can't be changed unless the source code for Hesk was. The idea was to integrate the features of Hesk into wordpress without rewriting it completely. The questions are a little silly but again this is also generated by Hesk. However, you can choose the silly question that you put to ask. It is really only there to block spamming so you don't have to use it if you don't want to.

I tried to reply to the helpdesk ticket reply you sent me, but couldn't get the system to display any previous tickets.
