I can't remember when I first joined this forum, but like everything else, I somehow became distracted and forgot all about it. It seems I have an attention disorder. Until now, I have not been able focus on any one thing long enough to make any headway, continually chasing the Golden Goose and looking for that elusive pile of golden eggs. Well, after about two years of running and getting nowhere, I believe I have finally come to my senses and I am ready to focus on one step at a time and actually WORK my way to where I want to be. I'm not really familiar with how things work here, but here I am and eager to learn all I can. - swtp43 Razz [/b]

Welcome Back!,

Getting distracted is easy enough to do. I think we all suffer from it at some point.

You seem to be heading in the right direction that word "WORK" ismost definately one of the keys to success.

Take a visit to the "need help" section, some decent information in there.
If what you are looking for hasn't been answered, then feel free to ask away.

This forum has some of the most helpful people on the internet.

Regards,

Janet

Good to know that someone is actually reading these. I am interested in marketing with blogs. Can anyone give a heads up on where to go to learn this. Are any members here blogging for income? Thanks, swtp43 (Alex)
PS> Where do I go to find those, I think they're called Avatars, graphics to use like the parrot, the bear, etc.

Hi Alex.

The Avatar picture is just a little 80x80 pixel graphic that you can upload to your profile. Just find an image that you like and size it accordingly.
Click on Profile up at the top and then edit your profile and upload it. Simple as that.

If you want a free graphics program to enable you resize the graphic then do a google search for gimp.

I think my parrot came off a clip art disk I bought probably 10 years ago! (GSP 40,000 clip art images!) nowadays, you can just google free clip art and get some nice images for free.

As far as marketing with blogs goes, Rob Benwell had a product out called "Blogging to the Bank" and then followed on with "Blogging to the Bank 2" again google the titles and see what info you can find.

I have a couple of blogs out there just for ..... fun........ I suppose, but they do make the odd few dollars for me.
I don't seriously blog for money, perhaps others can point you in the right direction on that one.

Don't get sidetracked though, stay focussed.

Thank you. I will try googling for the free graphics. As for R. Benwell's products, I'm not at all impressed or satisfied. I have both the original and v2. It's more fluff and hype than real meat (Just My Opinion). Maybe it's the way I personally learn best. With audio/video and a forum for discussion is, again in my opinion, the best way to learn. Just reading and then watching the video's presented does not get it for me. In school, waaaay back when, I always had top grades and read very little (I have a reading disability-called lazy) but the open discussion in class always got me by. (I do suffer a form of reading dyslexia, which I have learned to overcome for the most part.) Now, on to my search. Swtp43 (alex)

You wouldn't believe the aggro we have trying to get Janet to update her blogs.... Smile

And - that's a serious point about blogging. If you keep it going - it's great. If you don't - it's a total waste of time.
