I don't know if anyone else here had a bad knock on the head and bought into this, but I have to admit I did.

It was offered at one hell of a crazy price - have to admit to it -
nearly $1k (They reckon they are going to sell this at nearly $4k when it is offered to the general market.

Launch was way back in June 2007

Last week, 6th October 2007 they brought out update No.2 so in all essence once again the software was released unfinnished and they were so proud when they also announced that nearly all the vidoes were completed.

YOU WHAT! nearly completed for a product launched 3 months prior to this announcement. Lord give me strength.

Now this situation has not really caused me any grief because I have a good understanding of scripting and programes and how they go together. But to the Average Joe it must have been a nightmare.

Well in my opinion, this software stands a good chance of being good when it is finnished and will be a lead player on the market.
Estimated time of it being finally completed - straight from the mouth of Simon Hodgkinson - ANOTHER 12 MONTHS!

Basically all of us who bought it at the offer price have been no more than paying beta testers.

And here's the real deal, will us who have paid to be beta's be allowed to promote it when it is in a saleable state.

At risk of embarassing her I'll say here that Janet is an expert on subjects like this, and is one person whose opinion I seek time after time on techy matters.

It's an absolute CRIME at the number of big guru software launches that go out incomplete or (let's speak plainly) just DON'T WORK yet cost three or four figures.

If you bought something like this at PC World you'd be straight back to the shop raging, yet when it's a guru launch we sit back and say 'It'll be great in three months when the working version comes out'

I genuinely think this is because forum owners delete posts that tell the truth about big launches. They're scared of the big boys.

I'll tell you now guys - if something is a genuine rip off or doesn't work, let's make it known Evil or Very Mad

Hi Phil,

Its basically a cms + secure download + membership site script + audio site manager + video site manager + well loads of things.

It has been set up to rival membergate type of software which is all singing high priced memberportal software. (I think that was the brainchild of Bill Myers)

It does work http://www.20steps2.com and no longer promoting the other site Wink

are two skeleton sites I have up at the momment.

The sellers have 3 or 4 sucesfully running out there, the more famous one being www surefirewealth com ( missed the dots out Wink

)

Hope that helps, if it doesn't you can always do like my kids do and stand behind me going ZERO ONE, ZERO ONE, ONE ZERO ..............

{edit since this post was made the name of the software has been changed and it is no longer called cmsinfusion - anyone want to buy a domain name? - better and better eh? }

Am I being thick here? YOUR site doesn't work because THEY can kill it off? I'm not sure what the US equivalent of the OFT is but if I were you I'd be sending emails to them straightaway.

How can someone take $1000 from you and not deliver without suffering some sort of consequence?

You are definitely not being thick.

I know what has happenned - well I suspect that I do.
It is directly down to a programmers sloppiness.
Nowt to do with Jeremy and Simon directly, but as owners of the business I think some apportionment of blame should go to them.

It may take me a long time to get it sorted out.

Scenario is that they changed the name from cmsinfusion to memberspeed to obviously save time they have used a search and replace throughout the whole system.

So, my site name registered of cmsinfusionhelp.com magically got renamed to memberspeedhelp.com - I've checked the licence area and the licence key is the same one digit for digit.

Unfortunately for me it means that the key now locks cmsinfusionhelp.com up as being unauthorised for use of the software. I can't get in as admin or even view the site.

Cpanel is still accessible and I've just done a full back up hoping to move it all to a new site. Fingers crossed I can, I don't really want to redo all that work.

Anyway, other people are suffering worse things that this, so count my blessings and move on.

They have delivered, metaphorically "it's just the packaging is really, really sloppy!"

I don't want my money back, I want the software and my site. This software is going to be the "bees knees" when it is completed.

Have they responded to any communication from you?

It may be a programmer's fault (I've been programming for over 35 years now and I make miskates all the time Smile

) but that doesn't matter. It's the company not the individual that's responsible. Perhaps you should point them in the direction of this forum....
